Putting Information in the Hands of the World

Would you like to know more about borrowing books from a camel? How about donkeys?

CASLIS Ottawa and Librarians Without Borders invite you to an evening about libraries and library services in Africa and South America.

Start the evening with the documentary "Remote Access: Distant Libraries of the World", a story about libraries in parts of Kenya and Peru. This will be followed by a presentation by Rebecca Jansen, co-executive director of Librarians Without Borders, and hear about that group's project in Angola.

It's about Putting Information in the Hands of the World. Come out and find out more.

When: Thursday, April 26, 2007, 5:30 am - 7:30 pm
Where: Library and Archives Canada (395 Wellington), Room 156

Admission to this event is by donation. Suggested amount: $5 - $10. Donors will have the chance to win a LWB Book Bag with a CLA Travel Mug.

All proceeds from this event will go to Librarians Without Borders.

Please RSVP to rsvp@caslisottawa.on.ca before 5pm April 25.
